Cradley Chapel. I am told that it is dedicated to St. Mary, was built on account of the distance from the Parish Church - by private act of parliament 39 Geo.3.1799. Consecrated 1799. Endowed with Queen Anne's Bounty £60, Pew Rent £30-40, Fees £6 to 8, Other Sources £10. Sittings: Free - none, Other 600, Total 600. On 30 March: Morning, General Congregation 130, Sunday Scholars 185, Total 315; Afternoon, General Congregation 220, Sunday Scholars 170, Total 390. Average over 6 months: Morning, General Congregation 150 to 200, Sunday Scholars 100 to 190, Total 250 to 390; Afternoon, General Congregation 300 to 400, Sunday Scholars 100 to 160, Total 400 to 560. Most of the sittings let. On 30 March: Morning, General Congregation 95, Sunday Scholars 86, Total 181; Afternoon, General Congregation 90, Sunday Scholars 82, Total 172. Average: Morning, General Congregation 100, Sunday Scholars 101, Total 201. Afternoon, General Congregation 130, Sunday Scholars 140, Total 270. Remarks: The upper figures under no. 8 represent the individuals who attended public worship yesterday, and the lower figures indicate our general or average attendance. To the upper figures representing the Sunday School, 36 or 38 should be added inasmuch as that is something about the number of female children in the school and which were omitted. Colley Gate Preaching Room, Methodist New Connection. Service commenced about mid-summer 1850. Formerly a Club Room now sett apart for Religious Worship and Sunday School; exclusively for worship except for a Sabbath School. Sittings: all free, 100. On 30 March: Morning, Sunday Scholars 60; Afternoon, General Congregation 60, Total 80; Evening, General Congregation 40, Sunday Scholars 15, Total 55. Average over 6 months: [as on 30 March].
